Defibrillator training

Sudden cardiac death is one of the most common causes of death. The reason: it occurs without warning and ends fatally if countermeasures are not taken promptly. In such a situation, defibrillators can save lives.

Jeroen from FissMed organised an exciting and practical training course with the Chesa Monte team.

In this practical training course, the Chesa Monte team learnt how to recognise emergency situations quickly and safely and which immediate measures are important in the event of a cardiac arrest. Particular emphasis is placed on quick action. Step by step, we learnt how to perform chest compressions and use a defibrillator.

A cardiac arrest is an emergency that requires an immediate response from bystanders. Unfortunately, valuable minutes are often lost because people hesitate to administer first aid due to uncertainty or fear of making mistakes. Jeroen has boosted our confidence and taught us practical skills so that we can act safely and decisively to save lives in an emergency.
