Together with the Climate Alliance Tyrol, the Chesa Monte has carried out a comprehensive climate check and is already planning further measures to continuously improve its environmental footprint. Owner Carina Winkler explains: "The basis for our actions is the conscious use of natural resources and the sustainable protection of our environment. The Climate Alliance has shown us the areas in which we can actively protect the climate and the environment."
The hotel has been taking concrete measures for years: a varied vegetarian menu reduces meat consumption, guests are motivated to travel more often without a car, and voluntarily foregoing room cleaning leads to donations to the SOS Children's Village. In this way, the hotel combines ecological responsibility with social commitment.
"With our projects, we want to show other companies how easy it can be to do good for the environment," says Carina Winkler. "We all - entrepreneurs and private individuals alike - need to take action to promote climate protection, climate justice and a sustainable lifestyle. Only together can we effectively counteract global warming."
For the Chesa Monte, the Climate Alliance award is not only a confirmation, but also an obligation: sustainable decisions, conscious measures and a sense of responsibility that inspires guests and employees alike.
