Sebastian Kneipp, an aspiring priest and seriously ill with tuberculosis, discovered the healing power of cold water. Inspired by a book by the doctor Johann Siegmund Hahn, he used cold water treatments to overcome his illness. With success: Kneipp healed himself, supported other seriously ill people and developed his own teachings on water cures, which are still used worldwide today.
