Fiss
We take the gondola lift to the Fisser Joch (2,436 m). The hike starts over boulder fields into the Urgtal valley floor (1). To the Spinnseen lakes, the trail climbs along the stream via Steinkare to a ridge and shortly afterwards to the Oberer Spinnsee lake (2,450 m).
From the lake, turn left up via Steinkare to Spinnscharte 2,681 m and via a block ridge with a beautiful climb and short wire rope insurance to the summit at 2,936 m. Descent possibly via Kübelgrubenscharte and Urgjoch to Komperdell 3 hours, or via Planskopf and the ridge path back to Fisser Joch. Total walking time: 4 hours.
Impressive, highest peak in the Urgtal valley, beautiful panoramic mountain, great mountain tour in a wonderful landscape, not overcrowded. The route described is the shortest ascent to the summit via the Spinnseensteig to the Obere Spinnsee, Spinnscharte and via the north ridge to the summit.
