Nature theme trail Fisser Gonde

Family hike.Themed hiking trails

Route description

The themed trail begins directly at the Möseralm mountain restaurant. We first hike across mountain meadows and, after crossing a small stream ditch, enter the high spruce forest below the Gonde through the entrance gate. Now we follow the historic mountain path, which the farmers used to use to climb up to their mountain pastures. At one point, a branch-off path leads directly to the Gonde and offers a panoramic view of this natural phenomenon. At the highest point of our route, a cozy rest area with a hut invites you to linger in the midst of these already slightly overgrown mountain meadows. You can hike downhill along the new route.

Special features

The Fisser Gonde natural monument has been under protection since July 22, 1978 and is located at an altitude of 1,820 to 1,950 m above the Möseralm. It covers an area of 40,000 m2. The mountain slopes around the Fisser Gonde belong to the Samnaun group and are mainly composed of Bündner slate and quartz phyllite.
