Sudden cardiac death is one of the most common causes of death. The dangerous thing about it is that it occurs without warning and is fatal if no immediate action is taken. At such moments, defibrillators can save lives.

Practical defibrillator training

At Chesa Monte, Jeroen from FissMed conducted a practical defibrillator training course with our cardiac team. The aim was to quickly recognize emergency situations and correctly implement the important immediate measures in the event of a cardiac arrest. There was a particular focus on quick, considered action. Step by step, the team practiced chest compressions and the safe use of a defibrillator so that every second counts in an emergency.

A cardiac arrest is an acute emergency that requires immediate intervention. Valuable minutes are often lost because bystanders are unsure or afraid of making mistakes. The training strengthened the team's confidence and taught them practical skills and safety so that they can react calmly, decisively and correctly in an emergency.

Location of the defibrillator at Chesa Monte

Quick help is crucial. The defibrillator is centrally located: right next to the hotel bar by the stairs leading to the toilets. This ensures that an immediate response is possible in an emergency and that everyone in the hotel has quick access to life-saving help.

The defibrillator training impressively demonstrates the importance of preparation, knowledge and practice. A well-trained team can make all the difference and save lives in an emergency - for guests, employees and everyone who is out and about at Chesa Monte.
