Tradition meets modernity in Piedmont.
Tradition meets modernity in Piedmont.
Roberto Sarotto was the first of the family not only to harvest and sell the grapes, but also to vinify his own wine. Today, he is considered one of the leading winemakers in the region. His Barolo impresses with an intensely spicy aroma and a full, complex taste. Roberto Sarotto's wines are a tribute to tradition, but at the same time open to new ideas. Traditional cultivation methods are combined with state-of-the-art technology - a balancing act that is carried out with precision year after year.
A particular highlight is the largest Guinness-certified wine barrel in the world. With a volume of 478 hectoliters of Barolo, vintage 2016, it holds over 60,000 bottles. The huge barrel is located in Neviglie, in the province of Cuneo, in Roberto Sarotto's winery. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the wine are donated to the Candiolo Cancer Center - an example of responsibility and sustainability.
In Vino Veritas.
True happiness lies in Barolo. So just try it. Roberto Sarotto is one of the region's "local pioneers". For him, caring for the vineyards comes first. He says: "Good wine grows in the vineyard and develops in the cellar." You can feel this philosophy in every bottle.
Roberto Sarotto's wines have also been an integral part of the program at Chesa Monte for many years. Roberto Sarotto and his Barolo are not only a delight for connoisseurs, but also Carina Winkler's personal favorite winemaker.
Whether Roberto Sarotto himself or his famous Roberto Sarotto Barolo, anyone who tastes the wines will experience the perfect combination of tradition, craftsmanship and modern winemaking - a piece of Piedmont in a glass.
