Hiking with Cindy Köhle
Since June 2022, Cindy Köhle has been part of the hiking guide team at Chesa Monte.
Cindy is married, the proud mother of two children and settled in Ladis with her family in 2004. Cindy was born and grew up in the Romansh-speaking part of the Swiss canton of Graubünden.
Her love of sport and nature brought her to the sunny plateau in 1999 as a snow sports instructor. Since then, Cindy has been out and about in nature in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis whenever possible. Her family shares a great love of nature.
Cindy passed the mountain hiking guide exam in 2021 and now she is very happy to show Chesa Monte guests nature and our beautiful mountains.

Cindy's tip for hikers
When you buy hiking shoes, you should pay particular attention to a good fit. Walk around with them in the shop. If you feel an uncomfortable spot somewhere that could cause you difficulties while hiking, then it is advisable to try a different hiking boot.
When buying hiking socks, look for good quality. Mountain socks have reinforcements on the heels and soles of the feet so that the foot is not exposed to so much friction in sensitive areas. You should always buy hiking socks two sizes smaller than your normal shoe size. This makes hiking socks more like a “second skin”.
